Privacy Policy

Chapter 1. General Provisions

Article 1 (Purpose)

The purpose of these Terms of Service is to set forth the conditions, procedures, and rights and obligations of users in relation to the use of various online services (hereinafter, the “Services”), including membership registration, program applications, and information provision, offered through the official website (hereinafter, the “Site”) of the CES 2026 Humanoid M.AX Alliance Pavilion (hereinafter, the “Pavilion”).

Article 2 (Definitions)

The terms used in these Terms of Service are defined as follows:

1. “Member” means an individual or legal entity that agrees to these Terms, registers on the Site, and uses the Services.

2. “User” means any person who uses the Site, regardless of whether they are a Member.

3. “ID (Account ID)” means a combination of letters and/or numbers set by the Member and approved by the Site for the purpose of identifying the Member and providing the Services.

4. “Password” means a combination of letters and/or numbers set by the Member to protect their account.

5. “Content” means any text, images, videos, or other materials provided through the Site or posted/submitted by Users.

6. “Operator” means the Humanoid M.AX Alliance Secretariat or any designated operating entity that manages and operates the Site and the Pavilion.

Article 3 (Effect and Amendment of the Terms)

1. These Terms become effective when they are posted on the Site.

2. The Site may amend these Terms when necessary due to changes in applicable laws or operational policies.

3. When these Terms are amended, the Site shall notify Users of the details and effective date of such amendments at least seven (7) days in advance. If a Member does not agree to the amended Terms, the Member may terminate their membership.

4. If a Member continues to use the Services after the effective date of the amended Terms, the Member shall be deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms.

Chapter 2. Service Use Agreement

Article 4 (Membership Registration and Application for Use)

1. A membership agreement is established when a User agrees to these Terms and the Privacy Policy and completes the membership registration process on the Site.

2. Members must provide accurate and up-to-date information. If false information or misappropriated information is used, the use of the Services may be restricted.

3. Corporate/institutional Members must accurately provide their legal entity name and the details of their designated contact person.

4. Where necessary, the Operator may verify a Member’s real name or the authenticity of the information provided.

Article 5 (Approval and Restriction of Membership Applications)

The Site may refuse to approve a membership application or may later restrict the use of the Services in the following cases:

1. Where the name or information of another person is used without authorization;

2. Where false or inaccurate information is provided;

3. Where the use of the Services is likely to disrupt or interfere with the operation of the Services;

4. Where applicable laws or these Terms are violated;

5. Where the Operator otherwise deems the applicant inappropriate as a Member.

Chapter 3. Obligations of the Operator and Users

Article 6 (Obligations of the Operator)

1. The Operator shall use reasonable efforts to provide stable and reliable Services.

2. The Operator shall respond to Users’ inquiries and requests in a reasonably prompt manner.

3. The Operator shall comply with the Personal Information Protection Act and other applicable data protection laws.

4. If the Services are unavoidably suspended due to system maintenance, security issues, natural disasters, or other unavoidable reasons, the Operator shall notify Users in advance or afterwards through an appropriate notice.

Article 7 (Obligations of Users)

Members and Users shall not engage in any of the following acts:

1. Using another person’s personal information or account without authorization;

2. Registering false or inaccurate information;

3. Defaming the Pavilion or the Operator, or interfering with the operation of the Services;

4. Copying, transmitting, distributing, or using the Site’s Content for commercial purposes without authorization;

5. Engaging in hacking, spreading malware, or any other acts that may harm the stability of the Services;

6. Posting or transmitting obscene materials, illegal information, spam, or similar content;

7. Infringing upon the intellectual property rights of others;

8.Engaging in any act that violates applicable laws or public order and morals.

Chapter 4. Provision and Restriction of Services

Article 8 (Provision of Services)

The Site provides the following Services:

1. Provision of information related to the CES 2026 Humanoid M.AX Alliance Pavilion;

2. Program application functions (e.g., in-booth media briefing, inbound tours, and similar programs);

3. Notices and guidance for participating companies, media, buyers, and other stakeholders;

4. Distribution of newsletters and informational updates;

5. Any other Services deemed necessary by the Operator.

Article 9 (Changes and Suspension of Services)

1. The contents of the Services may be changed in accordance with the Operator’s policies or the operational circumstances of the Pavilion.

2. The Site may suspend or restrict the Services in the following cases:

2-1. System maintenance, inspection, or updates;

2-2. Natural disasters, power outages, server failures, or other force majeure events;

2-3. Suspension of services by telecommunications providers;

2-4. Where there is an urgent operational need.

3. The Operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from such suspension of Services unless caused by the Operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 10 (Restriction of Use)

The Site may, after prior notice where reasonably possible, restrict a Member’s use of the Services or revoke their membership in the following cases:

1. Violation of these Terms;

2. Illegal use or clearly fraudulent activities;

3. Interference with the operation of the Services;

4. Infringement of the rights of others;

5. Any other case where the Operator deems the Member inappropriate for continued use of the Services.

 

Chapter 5. Management of Content and Information

Article 11 (Management of Posts and Content)

1. Members are solely responsible for the Content they post on the Site.

2. The Site may delete, without prior notice, any Content that falls under the following categories:

2-1. Illegal, obscene, or excessively violent content;

2-2. False statements or content that defames others;

2-3. Content that infringes the rights of others;

2-4. Commercial advertisements or postings unrelated to the purposes of the Pavilion’s programs;

2-5. Content that significantly disrupts or interferes with the operation of the Services.

Article 12 (Copyrights)

1. All Content provided through the Site is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws, and such rights belong to the Operator or the rightful owners.

2. Members shall not reproduce, distribute, publish, or provide such Content to third parties without the prior consent of the Operator, except as expressly permitted by law.

Chapter 6. Termination, Liability, and Disclaimers

Article 13 (Membership Withdrawal and Termination of the Agreement)

1. A Member may terminate the use agreement at any time by using the withdrawal function provided on the Site.

2. The Operator may terminate a Member’s use agreement in the following cases:

2-1. Violation of these Terms or applicable laws;

2-2. Fraudulent use of the Services or clearly abnormal activities;

2-3. Acts that interfere with the operation of the Services.

3. Upon termination, the Member’s information shall be deleted or retained in accordance with applicable laws and the Privacy Policy.

Article 14 (Damages)

1. If a Member causes damage to the Operator or a third party by violating these Terms, the Member shall be liable for all such damages.

2. The Operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the Services unless such damages result from the Operator’s willful misconduct or gross negligence.

Article 15 (Disclaimers)

The Operator shall not be liable for any of the following:

1. Suspension of Services due to force majeure events such as natural disasters;

2. Damages arising from causes attributable to the Member;

3. Disputes between Members, or between a Member and a third party;

4. The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of information posted by Members;

5. Any issues arising from the use of Services that are provided free of charge.

Chapter 7. Dispute Resolution

Article 16 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

1. These Terms and any disputes arising out of or in connection with the use of the Services shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

2. In the event of a dispute that leads to litigation, the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Operator shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Effective Date

These Terms of Service shall take effect as of 2 December 2025.
